Roger R. Rocha, President of Brown Mackie College – Birmingham, has over 12 years experience in higher education leadership and teaching. Prior to his appointment as president, he served as campus director of the University of Phoenix’s Birmingham and Central Valley, California locations. As campus director, he managed the campuses’ operations, compliance, revenues and expenses, and enrollment strategies.
Before joining the University of Phoenix, Mr. Rocha held a variety of project and supervisor positions at Sungard Advisor Technologies in Sacramento, and Hewlett-Packard Company and NEC Electronics, Inc., both in Roseville, California. He also managed contracts and budgetary planning for the United States Air Force, McClellan Air Force Base in California.
Mr. Rocha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York; and a Master of Business Administration – Management degree from Golden Gate University in Sacramento, California.
