Smith has extensive experience with literature through presentations, teaching experience, and her education. As the General Education Department Chair, Smith oversees all adjunct instructors and teaches two accelerated courses per month. She also has given numerous academic presentations including her presentations on “How to Build and Maintain a Loyal Base of Employers” at the Missouri and Kansas Association of Private Career Colleges and Schools and “Maintaining Successful Working Relationships with Today’s College Students” at the Employment Assistance Resource Network. Smith received her PhD in English Literature from the University of Kansas.

Forristal received his PhD in Educational Administration from Kansas State University. Forristal gained his experience in law enforcement from various positions he held such as Vulnerability Analyst for Kansas Homeland Security and Chief of Police for Georgetown Police Department. Forristal has received several awards such as Officer of the Year and the Physical Fitness Award from the Golden Police Department.
Angie Fenton

Fenton, who works as “The Buzz” columnist for The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, earned her MA in English Language and Literature from Central Michigan University. She has a great amount of experience in writing for publications such as Velocity Magazine, Dog Fancy Magazine, Voices of Michigan, and Women’s World Magazine. She also has received numerous awards such as 2004 “Women to Watch” by Louisville Magazine, Mentor of the Year by Minority Student Services of Central Michigan University, and Journalist of the Year by the Michigan Press Association. Fenton currently gives entertainment “buzz” on three radio programs a week.

Henningsen, who received her MS in Adult Education from Kansas State University, has experience in Health Care Education and Coordination. As a registered nurse, lamaze certified childbirth educator, and certified doula, Henningsen has received awards such as Strathmore’s Who’s Who, KaHEC’s Outstanding Service Award, and KaHEC’s Distinguished Service Award. Henningsen also participates in several professional organizations such as the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, Kansas Health Education Council, and Doulas of North America.

Hyde’s background includes teaching special education for 26 years, where she focused on job-related skills. She has helped students in career placement skills and study skills. Some of the study skills that Hyde teaches include: test taking strategies, reading strategies, note taking strategies, planning techniques, memory skills, and thinking skills.

Leslie, an instructor who focuses on teaching students how to adopt the academic vernacular into their discourse, also helps minority students create their portfolios. Leslie also has experience in speaking at conferences such as “Unveiling King’s Motives in ‘Letter from Birmingham Jail’” for the College Language Association and “Breaking the Silence in Domestic Violence” at Wright State University.

McClintock, who currently holds a MBA in Leadership Studies from Baker College, is pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration. McClintock’s experiences as a college president and other positions have helped to develop her as a motivational leader. Through these experiences, she is enabled to speak on several topics including leadership, motivation, team building, employee development, and school operations. McClintock is currently involved in community service such as the Salina Human Resources Management Association, the American Business Women’s Association, and more.

He received a MBA from Emporia State University and has appeared numerous times on Channel 10 in Wichita, Kansas, regarding his expertise.

Zolvinski holds a BS in Health Administration from Kennedy-Western University. Zolvinski is a licensed practical nurse and a registered medical assistant. She is affiliated with various professional organizations such as American Medical Technologists, American Association of Medical Assistants, and the American Red Cross. She has received many awards including the 2005 Ten-Year Service Award from Brown Mackie College - Michigan City, the 2004 Academic Leadership Institute from Education Management Corporation, and the 2003 American Education Center’s Top 3 Academic Directors.
